Terms of Service

Template — highlighted items must be filled in by <Company legal name> and the text reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
These terms are an agreement between you (and the business you represent, together “you”) and <Company legal name>, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at <Registered address> (“we”, “us”), for the SolarStudio service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.
1. The Service
SolarStudio helps solar installers design rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems in 3D, estimate energy, savings and subsidies, and produce proposals for their customers. Figures are planning estimates, not an engineering certification: they rely on public terrain, building, weather and tariff data and on what you enter. You are responsible for site surveys, structural and electrical design, statutory approvals (including DISCOM and PM Surya Ghar portal requirements) and for what you promise your customers.
2. Accounts and workspaces
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate details. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- A workspace belongs to the business that owns it. Its owner and admins control membership, roles, billing and data in it.
- Seats are for named individuals and may not be shared.
3. Plans, payment and taxes
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in Indian rupees through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST, which is added at the applicable rate and shown on a GST invoice.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the plan until the paid period ends. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated.
- Credits and credit packs have no cash value, are not transferable between workspaces, and are consumed as shown in the app. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
- Plan limits (proposals per month, seats, features) apply as described on the pricing page.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the projects, customer details, branding and documents you put into the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display Your Content only to provide and improve the Service. You confirm you have the right to share any customer personal data you upload, including any consent required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and that you are the data fiduciary for it; we process it on your instructions as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, misleading or infringing content, and no proposals that misrepresent subsidies, savings or certifications.
- No attempts to break security, scrape, overload, resell or reverse-engineer the Service, or to exceed API and rate limits.
- Third-party data (maps, imagery, OpenStreetMap, PVGIS, NASA POWER) is subject to its own licences and attribution terms.
6. Integrations
Connecting PVERP, webhooks or the API sends data to systems you choose. You are responsible for those systems and their terms.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the Service we will give reasonable notice and a way to export Your Content.
8. Liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or decisions made on estimates, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or fail to pay, after notice where practicable.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at <City> have exclusive jurisdiction.
